Do I need to register or book my class beforehand?

Yes. Booking into a class will reserve your spot in the class. If you do not book and the class fills up, you will be unable to join in with the class unless someone cancels.

You can sign up to classes from the timetable here.

  • Available classes will have a Sign Up button
  • If you have not logged in, you will be prompted to do so
  • If you do not have any class credits or sessions available to use, you will be prompted to purchase valid credit

How do I cancel my membership?

If you have signed up to the weekly or unlimited membership, follow the instructions to cancel your contract.

  • Scroll to the Autopays section and click on Terminate next to the contract you wish to cancel.

  • Once confirmed, the cancellation will process immediately.

Please keep in mind that you are cancelling future charges to your account. You will not receive a refund for the current billing cycle. We reserve the right to issue refunds or credits at our sole discretion.

We will honour up to the end of your paid billing cycle, even though the system will cancel whatever is left of the current billing cycle's credit (if any). If you run into account issues, please contact us.

I have no experience with gymnastics/I am a beginner. Can I still attend?

We've designed Urban Gymnastics with all skill levels in mind, for all of our classes. We have people from all walks of life (and experience), so you will fit right in.

While we coach and train with current and ex-gymnasts, circus troupes, dancers, breakdancers, pole dancers, cheerleaders, and many other performers, we also have builders, lawyers, electricians, IT professionals, secretaries, and anything in between.

Will I get locked into a contract?

No. Contracts are run week-to-week, coming out on the day of sale each week. If you decide to cancel at a later date, you will cancel any future charges associated with your account.

What will I learn in a class?

Our strength classes work through the main muscle groups, and we utilise the gymnastics equipment. This gives us plenty of opportunity to do a variety of strength circuits and activities, so we'll hopefully be able to keep you busy!

The tumbling sessions start with basics to warm up, and then we move onto skill development (whether that be handstands, round-offs, handsprings, backflips, saulto work, or anything in between). We also sometimes incorporate freestyle gymnastics (FreeG) into the class – parkour, tricking, and free-running.

The artistic gymnastics (apparatus) classes are specifically tailored by a gymnastics coach for the six apparatus: floor, pommel horse, rings, vault, parallel bars, and high bar. Men and women are welcome to attend these classes.

Our stretch and flex sessions are for anyone new to stretching, and for anyone wanting to further their flexibility. This class will focus on stretching the body from top to toe, while improving your flexibility and increasing your natural range of motion.
